I can't believe this heat!!!

It has reached 105 degrees here and My Dad as been outside nearly all day long every day through it!

Things have been pretty hard since Mom has gone home to be with the Lord, but we know that she is better off there than here. It is the rest of us we are worried about. We can be so selfish and just want her back for us, but when we think of how much better off she is it seems to help me. Dad has been spending a lot of time out in the heat. He has finished our garden and also gotten some good head way on a waterfall for us! We were given a pond (Plastic mould) and he has put it into the ground level and all, and that is rough on our hill! We have Tippy our turtle out in it now. He has really been enjoying the space to swim. The children all love playing with him at the pond and we have even found that a few of our chickens and guineas have gone for a dip a time or two! (I am not so sure this is such a good thing as three have drowned.)

This Month we have two birthdays on the Calendar! Timothy will be 9 and Jonathan will be turning 6! Jonathan would love to go to school this year, so we are going to let him take the reading readiness test and if he passes we shall see if he still wants to go. I have a feeling I will have another child abandon me this year.  I believe we are planning to enroll them at the church school, Faith Christian Academy, here in town. I believe it is the best school we have ever come in contact with, and the best part is that those in charge are like family for some reason! I miss homeschooling them, but it will give me more time to focus on the little ones and I never know how long I will have their Aunt Grace there as the teacher. You see... Grace is Dating! It is great! I continually pray for her and the girls. No matter what men they may date, My prayer is that they find the life long companion that the Lord would want them to have and not settle for any less. Good men are hard to come by, and honestly I believe this young man Grace is dating is a very good catch for any young lady seeking one who is willing to serve God.  :o)

Well, Jonathan took that test! WOOHOO! He passed with flying colors! He wishes to go to school! On his birthday he received a new lunch bag and a new pair of school pants! This boy asks daily if it is a school day, unfortunately for him it doesn't start until the 16th day of August. Poor guy. He is so excited!

The garden is growing along with many weeds. I have knocked out several rows but it seems that it is a never ending job at times. One day I hope to be caught up. he he!

My Dad bought me turkey eggs! I am very excited! They are in the mail and should be here the first of August! I dream of tureys! I know. Strange creature I am, but I am ME! Still the same ol' Sarah who loves her critters. :o)

We have had baby bunnies!They were born on Saturday July29th! This is a first time Mama. She is doing an excellent job with her litter! She delivered 8, and so far all 8 are surviving. I can't help but wonder if she has enough milk because two are rather small and thin. I am making the time to help her nurse those two seperately from the other kits. They are all so precious!
