September!
The Month of September was filled with many things. First of the month we planned ahead for a work trip to Florida. The week before that was to happen Jeremy, Ellen and their girls dropped in for a surprise visit. It was absolutely wonderful! They could have warned me to clean up the place a bit, but no!! We are family! That is okay. It really wasn't that bad, and seeing them was so refreshing. They were heading down so that my brother, Jeremy could look at a job here. Unfortunately it did not work out, but we are all still praying that the Lord will open a door so they can. Sure was a good excuse to see them again! It is always fun when we get together.
After they went back home we got back to our focus on getting ready to head out to Florida. On September 7th we headed out and stayed for a week. Going to Florida is good, but with the rate of speed that everything is growing out there it tends to be a little more stressful with each visit. We sure do miss Mona and Bob's other co-workers though. The Royses and (of course) Bob's Aunt Janice, Uncle Bob and the cousins are a joy to see as well. We always want to be able to visit everyone we can, and it is so hard. We have so many loved ones and friends there to see, but time usually doesn't allow us to see all of them. For those of you who we did not get to see we are so sorry and wish we could have.
When we were in Florida we did get to see Bob's Grandma Niuman at the Miller's place (Aunt, Uncle and cousin's place). One day she would look well and the next very tired. As we were getting ready to pack for the trip out (the night before we left) Bob's Mom talked with him saying Grandma was having another hard day. We prayed for her but time would not allow us to go see her again. We had a relaxing trip home. All went very well and God kept us safe. We returned home safely, found that Grace and Christopher kept very good care of the rabbits in our absence. (THANK YOU SO MUCH!) They even had an experience with unexpected kits born! They ended up watching their own little bunny grow up out of the litter! They were very glad we let them have one. They adore her.
Durring the week we were home we imediately received a call from a friend of ours. He had cut down a VERY old tree here in Water Valley, and he was needing our help hauling the logs. They were HUGE! Take a peek of the woodpile photos! It was a real job with several trips made.
Well, within the week we were home we kept receiving news about Grandma Niuman's pains and finally she had a massive heart attack that led to nother. The family finally called everyone and said that we aught to come. We did go back to Florida and Grandma Niuman had a beautiful "Graduation Cerimony" after her passing from this earth to heaven. She was ready and her funeral was beautiful. There really is nothing like a funeral of a loved one who is home with our heavenly Father. I have been to funerals of those who did not accept Christ as their personal Saviour and leader of their lives, and it is aweful. The peace that comes when a loved one goes "home" is undescribable. We miss them but it is a joyous and peaceful event and the thoughs of never seeing them again do not cross our minds. I am so happy for Grandma. Now she is Home in heaven with my own Mother. I look forward to seeing them both again. They will be missed, but in time we will be together.
September was also the Month of Josiah's birth! He turned 2 on September 21st! It was the day we were traveling back home from our first trip, but with everything that went on we celebrated in October. He is such a good little sport.
